Holliston LEED House

This is the story of a family who built the first LEED "green" house in Holliston, Massachusetts. We were trying to spend no more than it would take to build an ordinary house, and maybe even succeeded. The dust is still settling.

Happy 2010

Wishing all a happy new year. Now that the snow is here, we are more and more valuing the energy efficiency of our new home. The geothermal furnace works fine, does not need a "backup," which was implied by everyone from the building inspector to the local carpenters, and our fireplace works great—more for ambiance than for heat, but still, just great on these snowy days. Long live new technology...

Its really wonderful to know that to build LEED house you don't have tobe super rich but its painstaking job/effort. Congratulation !! Well done.
Saving the world and saving your pocket I must say. I wish I can see it in person ....
